Cuyabeno is a popular destination for nature and adventure tourism. Many tour operators offer guided tours that allow visitors to explore biodiversity, learn about indigenous culture, and enjoy activities such as bird watching, canoeing, and jungle hikes.

The reserve is intended for the conservation and protection of biodiversity and Amazonian ecosystems. However, it also faces challenges related to deforestation, illegal mining, and other human activities that could affect its integrity.
